At this time, character transfers between servers are not supported in V Rising. Your progression, gear, castle, and unlocked abilities are tied to the specific server where your character was originally created.
Why Can’t I Move My Character Between Servers?
V Rising is designed with persistent worlds in mind—each server acts as its own ecosystem, with its own player base, territory claims, and progression. Transferring characters would disrupt balance, castle ownership, and territory mechanics, especially on PvP servers where land and conflict are a core part of the experience.
What Are My Options?
If you're looking to play on a different server, here’s what you can do:
- Start Fresh: You can join a new official or private server and create a new vampire character. Your progress on the original server will remain intact and unaffected.
- Host Your Own Server: If you'd like full control over progression and save data, you can host your own private server. This allows you to configure game rules and start fresh with invited friends.
-
Use the Same Account on Different Servers: Your Steam or PlayStation account can be used to play on multiple servers, but your progress does not carry over between them.
Is There Any Way to Manually Transfer Progress?
Advanced users or server administrators may technically be able to copy save files between servers on private hosting setups, but this is not officially supported, may cause instability, and is not available on official servers. We recommend starting a new character if you're moving to a different server.
