Known Issues: V Rising 1.0

With the launch of V Rising 1.0, we would like to inform you about some known issues that will unfortunately not be resolved by the time the update goes live. Despite having addressed hundreds of issues and bugs, there are a few that still remain.

Here are some of the more noteworthy problems we are aware of that will be present in the 1.0 launch version. Our engineers are already working on a patch to resolve these issues as soon as possible.

If you do not see the issue you are experiencing below, please report it on our Bug Reports Dashboard.

 

Missing .exe file or Server Hosting Issues:

  • If you are experiencing issues with hosting a server, please try the following:
    • Ensure your antivirus is not blocking the game.

 

Controller Issues:

  • See this guide for playing on the controller with the keyboard and mouse.
  • We are aware of an issue where the in-game HUD may flip back and forth between the keyboard+mouse HUD and the controller HUD. To fix this, please make sure you are using the default settings in the Steam Controller Settings for the game. This can be done by the following steps:
    • Right-click on V Rising in your Steam library
    • Select Properties... > Controller
    • In the "Override for V Rising" dropdown, select "Use default settings"
    • Start the game, the HUD should work as expected again
  • If you are having other controller issues, please try playing with a USB cable connected instead of Bluetooth to see if it does fix the issue.

 

Stuck in Logo Screen:

  • If you get stuck in the above logo screen, try the following:
    • Delete the InputSettings.json file at %appdata%\..\LocalLow\Stunlock Studios\VRising\Settings\v3\

 

Stuck in Age Gate Screen:

  • If you get stuck in the age gate screen, try the following:
    • Delete the "v1", "v2" and "v3" folders at %appdata%\..\LocalLow\Stunlock Studios\VRising\Settings

 

Missing Textures:

  • We are aware of a graphical bug that occurs randomly on startup that causes some textures not to load properly. This can for example cause your vampire to glow very brightly.
  • If you are experiencing this issue, simply restart the game and the issue should resolve itself.
  • We are working on identifying the cause of this issue so that we can provide a more permanent solution.
