If you encountered a bug, we want to know!
Please visit our Bug Reports Dashboard to help us track high-priority issues. You can upvote and comment on existing reports to raise visibility of known issues, or you can create a new report for anything new you may have encountered.
Below is a guide for how to best use this resource.
Tips For Searching for Known Bugs
Use the search bar! Try simple, one-word searches before more specific ones.
View additional pages at the bottom of the search page. If your search returns too many results, they'll be split into multiple pages. Be sure to review all of them!
Found a bug that matches your experience? Give it an upvote! This is a very simple and easy way to give us a sense of how widespread the issue is.
If you do upvote, please consider adding a comment. Tell us what you observed and experienced. Link an image if you have one. Your email address is not visible to the public. If a developer needs more information from you regarding your report, they may reach out to you by email.
Tips For Creating New Bugs
Cannot find a bug that matches your experience? Add one! Use the Add Bug button to start your new bug report.
Make your title as descriptive as possible. Descriptive titles help more people find your bug when searching for it. Your title should summarize the problem you're reporting and make it easy to understand at a glance.
Good titles:
Bad titles:
Use description field to provide context for when the bug occurs. This is the place to provide as much detail as possible. Reference the Report Bug Template for an idea of how to organize your report.
When does the bug occur? What were you doing when this happened? Which boss were you fighting? What were you crafting or building? What resource were you gathering?
Have you modified your game files? Because there are a lot of possible configurations for game settings, it's important for us to find out what changes were made.
Can your bug be reproduced? If you can reproduce the issue, provide a step-by-step guide on how to reproduce the bug. In example:
- Unequip all items (including weapons)
- Pick up any silver coin item from storage or world loot
- Observe that no damage occurs
What have you tried to fix the problem? Tell us how you tried to fix the issue on your end, and if the attempt was or wasn't successful (for example: Unequipping and reequipping items, restarting the game, restarting the private server).
Even if you aren't able to fix the problem on your own, this kind of information can help the developers to identify the cause or source of the bug more efficiently.
Include your Discord ID. Our developers may reach out to you through the Official V Rising Discord Server. This may be to ask for additional details, or to request a player log or crash dump file. If you have Discord, and would like to provide additional help, please be sure to include your Discord ID and make sure you can accept messages from users on this server.
