With the launch of V Rising 1.1, there have been important changes to how saves and servers work.
Since the new 1.1 version is incompatible with older servers/saves, your previous servers/saves(created during Early Access, Secrets of Gloomrot, or the 1.0 Launch - Invaders of Oakveil) won't appear in the Load Game menu when playing on the latest version. But there's no need to worry!
You can still access your old servers and saves by switching to the appropriate legacy version of V Rising through Steam. However, please note that doing so means you won't be able to access the new 1.1 - Invaders of Oakveil content while playing on these older versions.
To play on a server/save created before the 1.1 Launch:
PC Version:
- Right-click V Rising in your Steam Library.
- Select Properties... > Betas.
- In the dropdown menu, select the legacy version that matches your save:
- For Early Access servers, choose "legacy-0.5.x".
- For the Secrets of Gloomrot update, choose "legacy-0.6.x".
- For 1.0 Launch saves, choose "legacy-1.0.x" (new branch added for 1.0 saves).
4. Update V Rising and play as usual
To return to the latest 1.1 version, simply follow the same steps and select "None" in the Betas dropdown menu.
PS5 version:
- Start V Rising from the PS5 dashboard.
- Select "Load Game" and select your save game from the list.
- You will get a Warning popup that tells you you are accessing a legacy save.
- Select "Yes" to load your old save game. You will not have access to the Oakveil content or the Eternal Dominance Pack DLC.
